PROFILE

I come from a PA/secretarial role working in the London fashion industry and the UK Business Division of a US based manufacturing company.  This was followed by a role where I successfully ran three very busy private physiotherapy clinics, as Practice Manager for nearly 20 years.

I entered my garden in the Times 'Back Garden of the
Year' competition in 2001 and was awarded 3rd prize in the large garden category by The Times Gardening
Correspondent, Stephen Anderton, spurring me onto much greater achievement.

Looking for a new challenge combining my love of
horticulture and addiction to plants, I embarked upon a Garden Design Course at the renown Capel Manor Horticultural College in 2000/01, where I received a Best Student Award.

I now have a wealth of experience in the industry and
work for private individuals and in the commercial sector where my horticultural knowledge and gardening experience is invaluable to clients who are looking for their outside grounds to be maintained and managed.

I established Acorn Garden Design whilst at college
and began creating gardens straightaway. My enthusiasm has never dwindled and I continue to provide uplifting outside spaces here in the UK and I have worked in France where I designed and planted the garden of a large stone barn in the Auvergne region.
